Train stations are a portal of transportation from destination to destination.  Honestly, how much fun can a train station really be?  It’s crowded, loud and every 2 minutes you hear a recording welcoming you to the station.

That’s all about to change…well at least for one day.  Union Station one of Chicago’s popular train stations will be hosting its 2^nd Annual Beer Fest.  This beer Fest will be featuring more than 60 breweries and 150 types of beer including domestic and international beers.

Tickets will cost approximately $40.00.  This will include beer sampling.  Food will also be available for purchase.  There is even more exciting news!  This event will have a live D.J. and March Madness Games will be broadcast throughout the event.

Again Union Station 2^nd Annual Beer Fest will be taking place on March 30, 2013.  There are two sets of times; 1-4pm or 6-9pm.  Union Station is located at 225 S Canal Street.

So forget about the bars on Saturday and head to Union Station where all the FUN will be!!!

How would you define friendship?  I personally define friendship as a combination of fun, laughter, memories, sadness, hardships and togetherness.  I can say that my friends and I have been through the up’s and down’s, but it has only made our bond stronger. 
That’s why I like to share a story with you about three friends by the names of Bob, Adam and Tick; or more commonly known as Bernadette, Felicia Jollygoodfellow and Mitzi Del Bra.  The three most famous drag queens in Australia!!! 
This tale is about three friends who set-out on a journey through the desert of Australia.  What better way to travel then on a bus they name Priscilla.  The journey helps all three friends become closer and learn more about one another.

 
I also forgot to mention, this is a musical with all of your favorite pop hits songs!!!  Come prepared to be dazzled by the amazement of great performances and an incredible tale of three friends.
Priscilla Queen of the Desert is playing at The Auditorium Theatre located at 50 East Congress Parkway.  The show will be playing until March 30, 2013.  Tickets average between $25.00-$95.00. 
I encourage you to enjoy an evening of glitz and glamour and enjoy performances by the most spectacular DRAG QUEENS!!!!

Got GREEN???  It’s that time of the year again….Saint Patrick’s  Day in Chicago!!!   There is no better city in the U.S. then to celebrate all the fun festivities that we have to offer. 

It’s been tradition for the city of Chicago to dye the Chicago River Green for the past 40 years.  The dyeing of the river will take place at 10:00am.  The best spot to see this magnificent transformation will be at Columbus Drive or lower/upper Wacker Drive between Columbus and Lake Shore Dr. 

After the river becomes green, the real fun begins.  The Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at 12:00pm.  The parade route starts at Balbo Drive and will head north until Columbus Drive.  Be ready for fun and spectacular performers and floats. 

After some downtown fun, head north to Lakeview, Wrigleyville and Lincoln Park for the best bar crawls and Irish grub.  It will be fun-packed day that will entertain all ages.     

All of this Saint Patrick’s Day fun will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2013.  Have a lucky and safe weekend!!!

Brrr!!! What a chilly winter it has been.  What was up with that major snow storm the other day?!?!  Unfortunately the snow on the ground makes it pretty hard to believe that SPRING is around the corner. 

However, I have GREAT NEWS!!! The Flower and Garden Show 2013 has returned and will be featuring a plethora of floral arrangements, magnificent flower garden designs and tips on how to be successful gardener.

 Escape from the harsh cold outside and visit THE ONE AND ONLY NAVY PIER and submerge yourself in the beauty and wonders of floral enchantment.

The 2013 Flower and Garden Show will be running from Saturday, March 9, 2013-Sunday, March 17, 2013.  Ticket prices will range from $5.00-$19.00 per person.  The Flower and Garden Show is located at 600 East Grand Avenue.

What does lack of energy, boredom and cold weather all have in common? If you guessed January in Chicago you are correct.  If you are like me, then you must be feeling the post-holiday blues.  I thought to myself, nothing cures the blues more than laughing.  What better place to laugh then a comedy club!  Chicago has an abundance of comedy clubs to choose from, which cater to all types of people.  Recently I saw a comedy show at the iO Theatre featuring tons of laughs from personal monologue stories from its current and former company members.  After experiencing a night of comedy, it really cheered me up and I forgot that I even had the blues.  So my suggestion to you is to get outside and visit iO Theatre.  The iO Theatre is located at 3541 North Clark Street.  Tickets are $12.00/person. Holiday Cheer is in the air!  I hope that everyone has had a great holiday season so far.   There has been so much fun holiday activity these past weeks in Chicago.  Just to add on one more fun holiday activity to partake in, why not see an all-time Holiday Classic, The Nutcracker.  This is a family-friendly show that offers excitement for all in this amazing whimsical performance.  The Nutcracker is currently playing at The Chopin Theatre located at 1543 W. I hope you made a wish today at 12:12.p.m on 12-12-12.   It’s a funny occurrence that it happens to be Navy Pier’s 12^th Annual Winter Wonder Fest as well.  If you are like me and looking for more holiday fun, the come out and check what The Winter Wonder Fest has to offer to you?   Activities such as ice skating, amusements rides, arts & crafts and live entertainment will all be featured.  Plus admire the beautiful decorations throughout Navy Pier.  Cost is free to get in, however pricing with apply if you plan to go on any of the rides.   What are you waiting for!?!  The Winter Wonder Fest is located at the Famous Navy Pier on 600 E.
