Greening the Hotel

Last week we officially began our sustainable efforts in the management offices.  The front desk, sales office, housekeeping office, engineering office, and operations offices all received 13 quart recycling bins.  The majority of paper consumption takes place in the management offices, and the opportunity has finally come for us to practice sustainable efforts.

In the coming months, the housekeeping department will begin training on various recycling programs for the guest rooms.  Additionally, the food and beverage team will also begin efforts to further ‘green’ their practices.  We are using the AH&LA Minimum Guidelines to help us along the way.
