The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is officially here this Sunday, October 10, 2010.  Runners and running enthusiasts from all 50 states and over 100 different countries come to Chicago to run an impressive 26.2 miles.  The race route covers the downtown area, as far north as the Lakeview neigborhood, as far south as Bronzeville, and as far west as the West Loop neighborhood.  This track gives runners the ultimate Chicago experience, taking in the many unique neighborhoods and cultures.

Additionally, a Health Expo will take place today and tomorrow at the McCormick Place.  The Expo features over 175 different vendors showcasing their newest designs in footwear and apparel.  Guest speakers will also be presenting tips and tricks for runners of all levels, and attendees can also learn the latest and greatest on sports nutrition and dieting.

Chicago is know for one of the best, more organized running cities in the U.S.  The Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) has been organizing the very best in Chicago since 1978, and connects runners to resources that enable them to run better and stronger.  Running routes in Chicago and all over the U.S can be found at Run the Planet’s website.  Live a healthy and fit life, and enjoy Chicago!
